Central Catholic High School

Central Catholic High School's tradition in boys basketball is well documented. It was on display again Friday night. Prior to the Maroon Knights' victory against rival Linsly, the state championship teams from 1990 and 1996 were recognized. Several members of both teams returned for the event. The head coach of both of those teams was Jim "Dubie" Dailer. The 1990 team consisted of Ken Frederick, Eric McGhee, Brian Janetski, Kevin Hendershot, Malachi Lee, Steve Reidel, JR Battista, Dan Metz, Damion Saunders, Brent Kaniecki, Fernando Ibanez, Joe Donzella, Tom Burgoyne and Anthony Savage. The 1996 team was comprised of Michael Jackson, Dave Goeddel, Rick Nau, Josh Pasden, Lance Miller, Mark Prosser, Rocky Fitzsimmons, Aukai Costanzo, Corey Murphy, Ryan Young, Todd Flanagan, Dan Roth, Ryan Gundling and Pat Wensyel.
